These two 4 color Riso prints by artist Eddie Villanueva come from his series of daily drawings that he has been making for several years.
The first features reproductions of his drawings "Career Advice" and "Busy Bee (Life Balance)" combined into one amazing piece. These two drawings- made about 10 months apart- sit together, one encouraging us to simply quit our job while the other forms a lattice of responsibility. Two feelings about work/life balance working to balance each other.
The second print reproduces "Student Engagement via 15 Weeks of Destabilized Seating Configuration"- here Villanueva offers a simple plan- to rearrange the desks in his classroom before each session as a way to encourage engagement. The piece is funny, poignet, and simple. It shows the grace that Villanueva brings to his teaching, offering a direct path to creating connections within his classroom.
Both prints are printed using flo pink, light teal, sunflower, and black on an 11"x17" white vellum paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist.
